Jim Engel Joins Red Circle as VP of Client Services

MINNEAPOLIS, January 10, 2018 — Red Circle announced today that Jim Engel has joined the agency as Vice President of Client Services.

Engel has worked in both the advertising and casino gaming industries. He was formerly the VP of creative services and general manager of Russell & Herder Advertising, spent more than a decade operating his own marketing and advertising consultancy, has provided strategic planning, advertising and staff development services to more than two dozen casinos, and was on the opening team for three casinos and one racino property development.

Engel will help transition Red Circle’s account service, casino strategy and creative services toward an increasingly strategic approach to helping clients identify business opportunities that drive their gaming and overall property revenue.

“Our proprietary data analysis has long enabled us to provide highly strategic solutions for clients’ marketing communications. We’re now moving beyond that. We’re focused on helping clients solve their business problems, not just communication problems,” said Chad Germann, Red Circle Founder/CEO. “Jim’s significant experience in advertising and casino gaming will help us do just that.”

As a senior member of a casino management company, Engel helped open two Million Dollar Elm Casino (now Osage Casino) properties in the Tulsa, OK area, as well as Remington Park Racing & Casino in Oklahoma City, OK. In 2017, he spent seven months as an interim manager of the River Casino & Sports Bar in Nashua, NH, helping open a new food and beverage operation, as well as restructure the property’s senior management team.

His advertising creative work has appeared in Ad Age, Adweek and Creativity magazines.
