So what do I do as a Media Investments Manager?

The Media Investments Manager is responsible for negotiating all forms of media by seeking out the best possible placement at the best possible pricing within the confines of the media plan. In addition, the person in this position maintains the integrity of the media schedule throughout the life of the buy. This includes post buy analysis and evaluation.

Your responsibilities:

• Negotiate and purchase traditional and OTT/CTV media
• Estimate, update and adjust all ratings based on demographics and updated market research as available
• Analyze media rating trends
• Evaluate media proposals and provide POVs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Be the market expert and go to person for your markets and mediums
• Seek out unique media opportunities to grow clients business
• Obtain and track added value in the form of tickets, spots and promotions
• Organization and participation of client’s “Media Days”
• Provide traffic guidance when needed
• Discrepancy resolution
• Post media schedules delivering between industry standards of 90-110%
• Accountable for building, developing, implementing and maintaining plans that deliver against client’s strategies/objectives
• Develop/contribute to client’s quarterly reporting
• Develope, implement and maintain integrated media plans that deliver against client’s strategies/objectives
• Establish client flowcharts and stewardship of media plans
• Experience with budget planning and forecasting across mediums
• Manage client budget documents and tack financials against client goals
• Demonstrate leadership by identifying trends, opportunities, issues and best practices across industry development and trends to ensure the agency stays competitive

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or communications preferred
• 5-7 years’ minimum of negotiating experience in an agency setting
• Experience managing multiple clients and types of projects
• Strong communication, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of how traditional media channels and an understanding of all media avenues
• Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel

Skills

• Strong negotiating skills
• Strata and/or other media buying software knowledge
• In depth knowledge of Nielsen and Comscore
• Strong math aptitude
• Effective communicator
• Attention to detail in both written & verbal communication
• High level of Excel and PowerPoint experience
• Other MS office experience
